Dear Parents / Guardian,
This year your child will learn more about various religious festivals and celebrations at school. This will build on what they may have learnt about religion at home and give them an opportimity to learn more about their own religious festivals. It will also give them a chance to learn about practices in a range of faiths. This leaflet gives you a gist of the various festivities during this month and provides information on the various religious festivals and celebrations. Learning about how people of different religions celebrate also helps children to understand a range of beliefs and cultures and encourages them to think about the place of traditions and festivals in their lives. In each case, your child will probably find out about the religious beliefs behind the festivals, and how people celebrate with special food, clothes, stories and music.

ACTIVITY FOR THE MONTH
Students have to draw a picture of all the festivities mentioned in the circular
integrated in a single frame to the best of their ability.

A Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded to the best entries.
